
ABOUT OUR REFORMER PILATES STUDIO
Hey we are an authentic Pilates Studio based in High Barnet, North London. We are a stones throw from Barnet hospital and offer free on site parking.
Reformer Pilates seems to have become the latest trend however most Studios are simply running HIIT classes on a Reformer; not how Joseph Pilates (The founder of Contrology) intended.
At The Resistance Reformer Pilates we run small classes taught by teachers as close to the lineage as possible. We incorporate the whole Pilates Method into our classes with not only teaching you on the Reformer but we also run Tower, Chair and Barrel classes.
Tower classes are great to realign, open and strengthen the body.
The chairs are good to strengthen knees, hips, ankles, legs and glutes.
The barrels are great to realign the spine into the correct position and open the chest especially if we are sat on our phones or hunched at a desk all day.
We differ from other studios as during your first class we will assess your alignment, strengths and weaknesses and share this with you. Appropriate exercises can then be given to help you improve flexibility, reduce pain and strengthen your limbs and abdominals.
